Hello. This is my blog documenting my progress towards achieving my R&S CCIE. I passed the lab in Brussels on Monday 6th October 2008 to get CCIE #22262
Hopefully it can show other CCIE candidates that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and hard work brings great satisfaction.
I have now decided to embark on the quest for a second CCIE – Voice SP. Im hoping this track will allow me to learn a whole new set of technologies and will be even more rewarding at the end of it all.
I decided to drop the Voice IE as I just wasnt feeling it, and feel that SP will be easier to attain, as there is a significant overlap with the R&S and also I will be able to practice alot more due to running the topologies on Dynamips.

Thanks for all the real info you provide. I had one quick question that the IP Expert BLS which you ordered does it contain labs as well and if it contains labs can you do those labs on dynamips

Yes it has labs. There is Volume I that has technology focused labs, then Volume II which are 15 full 8 hour labs, and also Volume III which has 10 full 8 hour labs. The first five of the Volume III labs can be graded when done on their rack rental sessions. You also get breakdown videos for all of the Volume III labs.

I dont use dynamips for these labs, but you could map the topology into it and do all of the routing based tasks but not the advanced switching.

Congrats, I have enjoyed following your story. After putting it off for over 4 years, I planning on my first attempt in Feb, 2009. What do you do with all your R&S study guides now? Can you sell them?
